Each section contains 25 to 28 multiple-choice questions, resulting in a total of approximately 99 to 102 scored questions per exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The four scored sections include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Two sections of<a href=\"https:\/\/theentrypass.com\/resources\/faq\/what-do-they-test-on-the-lsat\/\"> Logical Reasoning<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>One section of Analytical Reasoning<\/strong> (commonly called \u201cLogic Games\u201d)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>One section of Reading Comprehension<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, test takers will encounter an unscored variable (experimental) section, which can be any of the three question types. This section is used by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) to test new questions for future exams but does not count toward your final score. You won\u2019t know which section is experimental, so it\u2019s important to treat every section as if it counts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, the LSAT includes an unscored digital writing sample that is completed separately, usually at home, via LSAC\u2019s secure proctoring software. While this portion isn\u2019t scored, law schools receive a copy and may use it to assess your writing skills during the admissions process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, you\u2019ll answer about 100 scored multiple-choice question<strong>s<\/strong> during the main testing session, plus complete the writing task. The entire test (excluding the writing sample) takes about 2 hours and 10 minutes under the current digital format introduced in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Understanding the LSAT\u2019s structure helps test takers manage time and strategy effectively.
